Ministry Team
- Our team is led by Pastor Russell Shoemaker, a seasoned minister with 35 years of experience. His love for working with smaller churches is evident, and he and his wife Sharon are residents of Odessa.
- Lay minister Gary Shanks became a member of Woods Chapel Odessa as a child. He ministered to the church while we were searching for a pastor. Gary assists the pastor in Sunday Services.
Audio Visual Team
- Penny Sisk is our church pianist. We love to hear her play our baby grand piano.
- Sharon Shoemaker leads music. She has been a choir director and worship leader for 35 years and enjoys leading hymns, choruses, and popular Christian songs.
- Nicole Stezeler has worked with Woods Chapel Odessa children’s programs and music. She joins Sharon as co-music leader.
- Shawna Houx, our AV Technician, is a reliable and experienced team member. She ensures that our audio-visual equipment is always in good order, allowing us to have smooth and uninterrupted services.
Christian Education Team
- Woods Chapel Odessa is fortunate to have dedicated Sunday School and Children’s Worship teachers. Penny, Mary, Nicole, and Leah enjoy meeting our children’s spiritual and educational needs.
Building and Grounds Team
- Keith Sisk and Adam Whited keep our church looking beautiful inside and out. They take pride in keeping things up to date and in good working order.
